APEC Guidelines app for iPhone and iPad

APEC Guidelines app affords obstetric providers with easy access to evidence based care guidelines. The guidelines are developed by the Alabama Perinatal Excellence Collaboration (APEC) in an effort to improve perinatal outcomes and the health and welfare of women and infants throughout Alabama.
Guideline topics include:

* Routine prenatal care
* Deliveries prior to 39 weeks gestation
* Chronic HTN in pregnancy
* Prior spontaneous preterm birth
* Preterm labor
* Diabetes Mellitus
* Immunizations in Pregnancy
* Pre-Eclampsia
* HIV
* Other

The guidelines are updated as new evidence based information comes out and they are available in full narrative and short summary format. Benchmarks/quality indicators for evaluation are included in each guideline.

Members of the APEC team include Alabama Medicaid Agency, Alabama Department of Public Health, University of Alabama at Birmingham, University of South Alabama, and Community Obstetric Providers.
